A local lawyer had a client who had been accused of sexual harassment by a female subordinate on a federal jobsite. The lawyer contacted Capitol Inquiry to find out the background of the accuser. Our investigators and researchers quickly identified and located former co-workers and a former roommate who had been subjected to similar accusations by the woman in recent years. We also identified other states where the accuser had lived and conducted on-site court searches in each of those jurisdictions. In a rural courthouse in a Midwest state, we obtained records of a prior guilty plea – even though the criminal case had been expunged – in which this same woman was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and to attend anger-management courses as a requirement for expunging the case. This information proved extremely useful to the lawyer and his client.
