International Business Dispute Support
A U.S. firm believed that its Chinese competitor was peddling an inferior product which allowed it to sell its brand at a lower price. Capitol Inquiry’s task was to obtain Customs data from two countries demonstrating that the metal used by the Chinese to manufacture this product had been imported through another country where scrap metal had been recast and misclassified as a higher grade product. Through our international network, we were able to obtain the export/import data, the names of the exporters and importers, the dates and quantities of the imports and the classification of the metal before it was recast. Armed with this information, the client had no trouble substantiating hits claim before international trade regulators.
